How can I volunteer in New York City after high school? Im from Minnesota and would I need to pay for housing or anything? I graduate next year, whats the best way i can plan this and apply to be a volunteer?

You can't. You cannot afford to pay rent and feed yourself in NYC. A volunteer pays all their own expenses. A nonprofit is forbidden by the IRS rules from using donations for anything other then their mission statement.

You are still saying you want to volunteer, volunteer is NOT a paid vacation in some exciting, fun city. Of course, it could happen, volunteers are needed everywhere. Stop wasting your time, and ours in this forum, and start searching websites, and actually APPLY. If you want to go to some exciting city like in your other post, Seattle, get a job, save your money, and party. You have to pay your own way.
