What kinds of shoes do high school students in New York wear in the snow?
I live in Oklahoma but was wondering what type of shoes teenagers in high school wear in the snow in New York? I am visiting there this christmas and wanted to know what the norm was? But not the dorky kids;) The well dressed kids :-D I was curious what they wear when it is actually snowing and they would have to walk through snow. I for one am not going to wear my uggs and ruin them! I thought maybe rain boots to keep your feet dry and they can be so much cuter than snow boots.

I think most high school students in New york wear probably Uggs, high boots, even shoes like converse/DCs/skaters/vans I think most would be wearing high boots with buckles or such, and uggs. :) Hope this helps and btw, Have fun there!

I am taking Geometry in High School ( New York ), how much do i need to start pre cal ?
I want to take pre cal . What are the requirements and if i meet them , when do i start the class ? Thanks =D

College algebra and trig. You can take them both in 1 class.

hey, I also went to school in NY (graduated High School 2 yrs ago). For some reason i never took Geometry. I took Algebra, trigonometry (math B), pre calc, and than AP Calculus. If geometry is part of trigonometry than i guest i took geometry, but I'm not sure. lol. The requirements, i think, is to pass Math A (algebra), than Math B (Trig) and then you could take pre calc senior or junior year.
I want to take pre cal . What are the requirements and if i meet them , when do i start the class ? Thanks =D

Is New York Law School a good school?
I'm trying to choose which law schools to apply to, and New York City is a location I will be choosing schools from. What is your opinion on New York Law School (not to be confused with NYU)? If you have opinions on any of the other law schools in NYC, excluding NYU, Cornell, Columbia and Fordham, please share!

New York Law School is not a good law school at all in terms of prestige Excluding the ones you mentioned, the only somewhat decent law schools left in NYC are Brooklyn Law School and Hofstra Law School (not quite in Manhattan--but nearby in L.I.) Any other school isn't really any good.

Im new to the area and my dad wants me to go to dalton. im just wondering is it a good school as in social wise. Im a outgoing person so a boring private school isnt fun to me or a all girl school. Like what are the teachers and students like at dalton.people talk good things about dalton so im curious. I've been to private school before so i kinda know what is is like.

yes. although Dalton is open to all boys and girls who are academically gifted enough to get in, it does have many kids from rich families and from parents who are celebrities. if you do a google search on dalton, you'll find names of famous people you will know who went there as kids. an old friend of mine is a teacher at Dalton, 4th Grade i think. and she says that her kids never fail to impress her as to the kinds of imaginations they have. just to give you a sample of the high social status of some of the kids, when she gave them an assignment to draw pictures and report on what they did on a weekend, some of them drew helicopters and limousines taking their families out to their summer houses in The Hamptons. and maybe about 5 years ago my teacher friend had a girl in her class whose dad was a pitcher for the New York Yankees...

What's a basic estimate price of going to school in New York?
I'm still VERY young, but i really want to move to New York to pursue my dreams as a Business owner in the fashion industry. I just wanted to know a basic estimate of how much it would cost to move to NY and go to school. thanks, Derek Sabado

Well, there are a lot of factors here so no one can give a true estimate since you didn't give any details to your situation. However, let's say you are accepted into a school of design such as FIT or Parsons. For the 2009-2010 school year it is averaging between $17,000 to $18,000 per term. That's just tuition. If you select a dormitory for your residence add on another $12,000 to $15,000 per year. Here's the link for Parsons: http://www.newschool.edu/tuition/09/ So you are easily looking at $120,000 bare minimum.

I am almost 16 years old, so I can ' t have a high school diploma... the best acting school is new york film academy, but requires a high school diploma. Are there really good film acting school for a guy like me in NEW YORK?

NAF is the worst acting school in NYC. most professional schools do not require anything but that you pay the bill, many have auditions. Many are going to require that you are 18.

Because the United Nations has realized that the U.S. only signed a contract to pay dues and never actually intended to pay. If we would honor the things we sign as a country (and let me tell you, I'll be screwed if I don't make my house payment) the UN's budget would be a bit bigger and more reliable. If the U.S. didn't want to join, we didn't have to. But in joining the UN, we entered into a contract that, for any ordinary person, would be unavoidable....SO PAY UP!
