Why does New York have disgusting school food?

Why does New York have disgusting school food?
Ugh I HATE SCHOOL FOOD! But I cant pack lunch that's the problem. But still why does New York have disgusting school food? I mean the chicken nuggets I ate one time weren't really cooked! they were still frozen! and my friend took a bite out of her pb&j sand which and she found a worm half bitten! and later got really sick and had to be sent home! How come New York has the most disgusting food? how come in like Arizona they have salad bars and good food?

Depending on the school. I go to the Culinary Institute of America and they serve gourmet food to the student. Today for lunch they bbq ed A whole pig for about 14 hours and served that. it was amazing.

Well a couple of years ago my school took away our salad bar and water so all we were left with was basically crap. Sooo My friend and I decided to petition to get it back and we did =) You could always try that. Its not necessarily the state. It's more the school. Much Love. Emilie <3 Oh yeah, I live in Florida =D

Yeah they do have bad food. Get your parents to petition to get better food, contact the PTO, and get the kids to all sign a petition, but be specific as to what you want, don't just say something like "get better food." The chicken patties always have bone chips in them. It's gross, and the hamburgers are rubber. The salad boxes are gone before anything else and even THEY don't taste good. Why can't you pack lunch? That's the best, even if you had to PB&J it with an apple or something, from your own house. Better than taking a chance on biting into something uncooked or alive. That is gross and not funny. Unfortunately, I agree though, I've seen it. Do all of what I said above and you can get things changed there. (be ware though: no matter how good the food is, you also have to worry about the people they hire to cook and serve it. Enough said.)

The New School is actually a bunch of schools bundled together. And without knowing what your area of interest is, it's hard to say. But I can tell you Parsons, Eugene Lang and The Drama School are more picky than the Ivies, in terms of what they look for in an ideal candidate. Overall, The New School is a highly competitive and highly desirable college. Which means they are in a position to be incredibly selective. The New School for General Studies The New School for Social Research Parsons The New School for Design Milano The New School for Management and Urban Policy Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts Mannes College The New School for Music The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music The New School for Drama

If you hate America, you're in. Just say that during the interview.

Check your city and county websites for available funding. You will probably need to get a fiscal sponsor (a 501(c)3 organization) that will administer the grant money since you are not a nonprofit. You can also search for available grants at our website (free!) under "Youth Development" in New York. The database lists grants for nonprofit organizations, but maybe you'll get some ideas for what is out there. http://www.grantgopher.com

Does New York University School of Medicine accept Transfers or Advanced Standing in to their 3rd year classes?

Does New York University School of Medicine accept Transfers or Advanced Standing in to their 3rd year classes?
Although a 3rd year slot would be the best match, I would not object to a 2nd year slot. Some schools have transfer applications on the web, however I have found no such forms on the NYU SOM website. Other schools require a letter of intent before they provide application materials. I have found no information on their transfer policies nor how to best initiate contact.

Not every med school accepts transfer students. What I'd have you do re: NYU is contact them directly. Call their admissions department. You are going to a US med school, correct? Because no US med school accepts transfers from foreign med schools.

luckkyy ive alllways wanted to live in new york! but anyways uhmm depends on where your moving. if your moving in like mahattan they dress veryyy expensive and stuff hahah not like abercrombie or anything but like high class. but if your moving in like the city they dont dress very nice i dont think.. haha sorry never really been to the cityy

all of them wear abercrombie and fitch, hollister, and american eagle. In manhattan, thats where i go to school, they shop at sak's fifth avenue, anthropologie, barneys, and especially bloomingdales. they like to call it bloomies and they love it. But all the clothes in these stores are more than a $100 for a shirt. Otherwise just buy abercrombie, hollister, and american eagle which are all cheap brands. everyone wheres it. These three cheaper brands are best suited for public schools, but work anywhere. The other, more expensive stores should only be for those in manhattan and those who go to private schools there since they are filled with rich kids. the average private school in manhattan is $30,000 a year and up so its hard to blend in with their expensive clothes. I go to one on a scholarship though so I'm able to buy expensive clothes. Don't worry about what you wear, you are in middle school. Start caring in high school. Some people in middle school are still shopping at limited too. Plus you grow out of your clothes fast. Save your money for the more designer ones everyone will have in high school. Im 17 and lived here my whole life by the way.

Well, I live in New York and I'm in middle school. Everyone sort of have their own style, so I think you will be just fine.
